Beginners Learn To Skate - The Lesson Plan
Week 1-5
The lesson consists of a 10 minute warm up where all the skating movements/positions needed for your assessment are broken down and are performed statically.
The skaters will then go to their appropriate groups for their 20 minute lesson with the instructor they will be working towards the Skate UK levels.
Week 6 - The Assessment
On Week 6 an assessment will take place; all skaters will practice in the allocated area with one of the instructors. There will be an allocated assessment area were your levels will be individually assessed.
When your Skate UK level is announced you will be asked to perform the required elements for the appropriate level. If you complete all of the 4 elements, you have then successfully completed your Skate UK assessment and may purchase a Skate UK certificate or a badge.

if you have not completed all four of the elements, the coach will give the skater an assessment sheet, ticking the elements that the skater has achieved, and feed back on what is needed to complete the level.
A learn to ice skate certificate of achievement can be purchased for the elements that the skater has accomplished.
